Google Maps and Microsoft Virtual Earth

Microsoft has released some news about ‘MSN Virtual Earth’, this is Microsoft’s answer to Google Maps. Here you can see some nice screenshots. Here you can see the Channel 9 video!

The service is promised to provide:

  • Satellite images with 45-degree-angle views of buildings and neighbourhoods
  • Satellite images with street map overlays
  • Ability to add local data layers, such as showing local businesses or restaurants

It looks great!

While writing about Maps.

Two days ago the German paper called ‘Der Spiegel’ found a image of a American Stealth bomber on Google maps, read about it here.

And I totally loved this post, about the UFO that was found on Google Maps.
Can’t wait until someone find the first images of a naked celebrity on the next version of Google maps. 😉
