Date for next phase of Google video upload program unknown?

Last week I send a mail to the Google Video Upload team, asking why the approval process of my video is taking so long and if they had any plans for supporting ‘video blogging’.

This is the reaction I got:

Thank you for your note. The Google Video Upload Program lets anyone submit videos electronically to Google Video, as long as they own the necessary rights (including copyrights, trademarks, rights of publicity, and any other relevant rights for your content). If your content has been accepted, users will be able to search, preview, and play your video during our next stage of development.

We currently don’t offer this program in conjunction with Blogger. To learn more about the Google Video Upload Program, please visit https://upload.video.google.com/video_faq.html

Thanks again for your interest in the Google Video Upload Program. While we can’t say when we’ll launch Google Video into the next development phase, we encourage you to check back with us over the coming months to see our latest improvements.

Hmmmm, looks like they brought the Video Upload service online in a rush. Probably because Larry Page (Google’s cofounder and president for products) had to bring out some news  as a reaction on the success of MSN spaces…
